Music Streaming music, settings, problem, streaming

First of all, the software is really good. Suits my needs.

I set up the software, both client(iPad 1) and server. Took a few tries and firewall exceptions to get the connection going. The video streaming works, albeit with a few problems. The video stutters, sometimes even on low bit rate .avi files. The playback of a 3000kbps 720p mp4(x264) was horrible. The audio was perfect though. What is the optimum configuration for streaming 720p (x264 and mkv)?

I could not get the music streaming to work. The music directory and the songs are displayed correctly. After selecting a song and hitting "play", all I get is a spinning wheel. Nothing happened for a long time. Then I noticed that the song I selected was downloaded locally. My question is how do I get it to stream? I don't want it to download locally.

Hi caz55,
Regarding the video issue, i too have .mp4 video problems,
you should send a mail to support about .mp4 videos if they don't work well
attaching a sample of the video, would help them out alot!
Try playing a .mkv file, do you get the same video issues with that?

Regarding the music it says here that all music is automatically cached so that you can play them at anytime and anywhere.
